My favourite places in the Shoalhaven
I was lucky to grow up in the Shoalhaven but I never really appreciated just how special it is until I went elsewhere… then I realized this place is gold. There are many great places that I adore including the peaceful and picturesque Kangaroo Valley where Kayaking or camping was a childhood hobby or if I wanted to hit the waters I used to love heading to the Shoalhaven River where we could water-ski by day whilst chasing some of the tastiest local seafood all along. The beaches have been protected from the crowds over the years unlike those we hear about farther afield assuring some of the best Eco-Tourism in Australia is right on our door steps. In particular there is no better place I like to visit than Greenpatch, located in Booderee National Park, where the colorful lorikeets continue to come down to say hi.. pretty cool I think. Those preferring to climb a mountain or two, head on down to Pigeon House Mountain, you will be impressed.
